Swinguru requires a specific indoor golf environment. We recommend meeting the following requirements for optimal performance:
- Indoor use: Swinguru is mainly meant for use indoors, preferably without any areas open to the outside or in direct sunlight. Sunlight can interfere with the correct functioning of the 3D camera. In partially covered areas, such as “garage hitting bays,” it may work properly, depending on outside lighting conditions.
- Lighting conditions: most indoor lighting, such as neons, LED, or incandescent lights, is acceptable for the Kinect and Swinguru. However any lights that provide infrared signals, particularly halogen lights, can interfere with the 3D camera and should be avoided.
- Minimum distance: the minimum distance from the camera to the user is dependent on the height of the camera and size of the user.
Clothing: Kinect may have difficulty detecting dark clothing of specific textiles (technical garments).
